Northumbria University will help you to earn while you learn, which not only supports your studies but will also help you to gain the skills employers want.

As students you can set up email alerts so you will always be kept informed of any new posts added.  We also hold an annual Student Jobs and Volunteering Fair in October.

We have Careers Advisers who will work with you to improve your CV, applications and interview technique. With impartial one-to-one careers advice and careers resources related to your needs we will help you to build those employability skills employers are looking for.

While you are studying we recommend that you work no more than 15 hours per week, and don’t be surprised if employers ask you to prove your right to work in the UK.  This is a Government requirement to prevent illegal working in the UK.  If you are a UK national your passport or full birth certificate along with a document with your NI number will be what you need – so don’t forget to bring them with you.  For most EU students your passport or national ID card will be enough, Croatians will also need a registration certificate.  For other international students your passport and visa will be required.
