Would you recommend doing a placement to another student?
100%. A placement is a great opportunity. It’s like a trial run at your future job. Doing my placement year has led me to believe I have made the right choice for my career; I am very thankful for the opportunities that Reece Innovation have provided me with and also the knowledge that I have gained during my time working with the company.
Has anything surprised you about your experience?
During my placement, I have – along with some colleagues – represented Reece Innovation at a number of events. “Venturefest North East is a day-long event aimed to support and accelerate North East SME business growth through innovation”; and was an event I attended with two of my colleagues. I never expected to be going to Venturefest, or any other events for that matter, but I value these experiences as it helped to build my confidence conversing with potential customers and collaborative partners.
