Ana Elina Benvenutto-González

Politics and History BA (Hons)

I studied Politics and Public Administration Science at Granada University in Spain and spent a year at Durham University under the Erasmus programme.

During my undergraduate degree, I was a research assistant in the Centre of Analysis for Political and Electoral Data of Andalusia (Cadpea) whereby I collaborated on various quantitative research projects on political opinion. At Northumbria University, I worked as a research assistant in numerous projects, such as nuclear power in Spain and gender gap in international organisations. Through this experience, I became aware of the lack of literature focused on women’s leadership in the United Nations and this prompted me to pursue a PhD on this topic.
