Leah Rosengarten

Assistant Professor

Department: Nursing, Midwifery & Health

Leah is an Assistant Professor in the Children's Nursing Team. She teaches across different modules in Pre and Post Registration Child Nursing programmes and is a Personal Tutor for undergraduate Children's Nursing Students. Leah joined Northumbria University in 2018, moving from paediatric oncology at the Great North Children’s Hospital, where she was based for 6 years. 

Leah completed an MSc in Practice Development in 2017, which focused largely on NHS workforce issues such as stress, absenteeism and teamwork between Nurses. She is currently studying for her PhD which focuses on the personal and professional development of Children's Nurses.

Since joining Northumbria University, Leah has also achieved a Post Graduate Certificate of Academic Practice and has become a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
